To improve YunTech students' comprehension of artificial intelligence and inspire more students to delve into this field, this competition is designed to introduce participants to prominent cloud computing platforms utilized in the industry and acquaint them with the pertinent technologies in artificial intelligence and autonomous driving applications.

AWS DeepRacer
According to the AWS website: 'AWS DeepRacer is the fastest way to get started with Reinforcement Learning (RL), by driving a 1/18 scale fully autonomous race car through reinforcement learning, a 3D racing simulator, and a global racing league. Developers can train, evaluate, and tune RL models in the online simulator, deploy their models to AWS DeepRacer to gain real-world autonomous driving experience, and compete in the AWS DeepRacer League for a chance to win the AWS DeepRacer Championship Cup.' Simply put, DeepRacer is a platform to learn and improve artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) techniques on autonomous cars, which can undergo comprehensive training and be used for virtual simulation. This competition will be conducted online.
About Contest
To enhance the awareness of artificial intelligence among the students at NYUST and encourage more students to enter the field of artificial intelligence, this competition aims to provide students with an opportunity to become familiar with widely used cloud computing platform services in the industry. It also aims to help them gain insights into the relevant technologies of artificial intelligence and the current highly popular applications of self-driving cars.
Event rule
Registration period
Registration deadline is November 15, 2024.
Team members
All team members must be current NYUST students. Each team can consist of 1 to 4 members. Please refer to the registration process below for sign-up details.
Scoring system
Two online racing point competitions will be held. The top 10 racers in each race can earn points. The points for 1st to 10th place are as follows: 25, 18, 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1 point(s) respectively.
Competition regulations
This competition allows participants to compete using their own Reinforcement Learning model or the Sample model provided by the AWS DeepRacer console. Sharing or using models shared by others is not permitted. 2024 YunTech AI Racing Competition Guidelines
Competition prizes
NTD 10,000 equivalent vouchers.
The first place
NTD 8,000 equivalent vouchers.
The second place
NTD 6,000 equivalent vouchers.
The third place
NTD 3,000 equivalent vouchers.
The fourth place
NTD 1,000 equivalent vouchers.
The fifth place
NTD 200 equivalent vouchers.

1. Team leader creates the team.
Team leader, please register first and create your account and team.
2. The team leader will share the invitation code with team members.
Team leader, please send your team members the invitation code obtained after creating the team.
3. Team members should use the invitation code to register
Team members, please register using the invitation code provided by the team leader and remember your account password.
4. All team members are required to upload their student ID.
After joining the team, please remember to upload your student ID. Failure to do so will be considered as forfeiting your eligibility to participate.
